“I hold the space steady so you don’t have to. You get to bring the mess, the ache, the questions—and we work from there.”
So much of what people carry lives quietly in the background—grief that hasn’t been spoken, the steady hum of anxiety, the feeling of holding everything together without much space to just be. Steph works with individuals and couples navigating these in-between spaces where loss, identity, and change intersect. Her approach is collaborative and honest, focused on helping clients slow down, understand what’s happening inside, and create more room to move through the world with clarity, self-trust, and steadiness.
Steph supports clients experiencing a range of emotional experiences, including anxiety, grief and loss, perinatal and postpartum transitions, relationship strain, and identity shifts. Anxiety doesn’t always show up as panic—it can look like being “on” all the time, feeling disconnected from one’s own needs, or struggling to rest. Her work helps clients build a more grounded relationship with their inner world, so they can respond to life rather than constantly brace against it.
Her therapeutic approach integrates somatic therapy, mindfulness, and evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, and IFS, all grounded in a trauma-informed lens. She pays close attention to how emotion shows up in the body, guiding clients toward more safety, regulation, and trust in themselves. Her work isn’t about fixing who people are—it’s about making space for what’s real and learning to move with it, not against it.
A core part of Steph’s work is supporting people through grief, especially the layered experience of mother loss and parenting without parents. She facilitates grief groups that gather in honest, grounded conversation about identity, loss, and belonging. These spaces are tender but steady—designed to hold what’s often difficult to carry alone.
Steph offers individual, couples, and family therapy throughout New York, both virtually and in person in the Hudson Valley. She works with new parents, students, adults navigating family loss, and anyone longing to feel more connected to themselves and their lives.
As a grief-informed and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, Steph creates spaces that are steady, inclusive, and deeply human. Her work is collaborative, direct, and rooted in helping people untangle what’s been held quietly inside, so they can move through the world with more clarity, care, and belonging.
