Meet, Maya

Therapist. Creative. Human.

A woman with long curly dark hair, wearing a striped shirt and jeans, sitting on a brown leather couch, smiling and playfully extending her leg while surrounded by colorful fabric rolls.

Maya Kruger, MA, LCAT, RDT, PMH-C, CTT3, founded Overture Therapy to be a space where people feel seen, held, and empowered to explore the deeper layers of their story. With roots in drama therapy and a background in the arts, she brings creativity and cultural fluency into every session — blending evidence-based care with the freedom to feel, imagine, and heal. Maya specializes in trauma-informed therapy for adolescents and adults navigating complex emotions, identity shifts, and recovery. Whether you're processing pain or reconnecting with your sense of self, Maya shows up as a real person first — not just a professional.

My Journey to Overture Therapy

From lived experience to a space for healing and reconnection

Host of the Podcast: How Did You Get Here?

Maya created How Did You Get Here? to hold space for the questions we don't always get to ask about trauma, identity, legacy, and healing. Through candid conversations with therapists, artists, and fellow humans, she explores the complex paths that shape who we are and how we grow.
